Tuesday Nighters

ParadeFood, faggots and GayTV make Tuesday Nighters one of the most popular volunteer activities in PrideAlive. We meet in QueerSpace at MAP every Tuesday night fom 7-10 for some food, volunteering, GayTV on Bravo and, oh yeah, some talk about queer life and queer health. For more information, contact Andy to be added to our ever-growing list of Tuesday Nighters. Drop In! Questions? Contact Michael.

Change the Background Color

The background color is the easiest thing on the website to change, although a lot of the elements are pretty changeable, depending on what we want. The green you see is the first color scheme that came to mind, but it's easy as pie to make it pink or red or any other color instead.

Café Chats

Café Chats are open to any queer man who has something to say or something to learn. All you have to do to be "eligible" to participate is to be a queer man and want to meet other queer men while sipping free coffee and talking about queer stuff. We meet on the second Sunday of each month in the evening at E. P. Atelier. Check out this month's calendar of events for information on our next chat. If you have more questions about Café Chats, drop Andy a line or give us a call at (612)-373-9165.

Mission

PrideAlive is bisexual and gay men working together to promote, create, and sustain a healthy community. We work to inspire individuals to get involved in health education, social interaction, political action, and civic participation. We envision a community that empowers queer men to make health-promoting choices and to serve as leaders, mentors, and partners in the fight against HIV and STDs, homophobia, and heterosexism.

We bring HIV testing to you.

Knowledge is power, and when it comes to knowing your HIV status, nothing is more important than getting accurate information from people who care. Throughout the year, you'll find PrideAlive outreach workers in the community -- from bars to coffee shops to tea rooms -- providing free HIV testing. We currently offer the OraSure™ HIV test, which uses an oral swab to test for HIV antibodies -- no blood, no needles, and you get your results in one week!
